IBM 1837462 ISA 3270 Terminal Emulation Interface Card

This is an original vintage IBM ISA expansion card, part number 1837462 (also marked 0689775), used for IBM 3270 terminal emulation on IBM PC and PC/AT systems. These cards were used to allow a PC to communicate with IBM mainframe systems over coaxial connections and function as a hardware-based terminal interface.

The card features a coax connector on the bracket and uses onboard display and communication logic to handle terminal emulation independently of the PC’s CPU. This type of adapter was commonly used in banking, insurance, airline, government, and enterprise environments where IBM mainframes and 3270 terminals were standard.

This is a genuine IBM-manufactured board with original components and labeling. It has been in storage and has not been tested, as I do not have the required host system or cables. No cables, breakout boxes, or accessories are included — only the card shown in the photos.
