For sale is an IBM Thinkpad 380E.

No OS**** and no power supply

Please read very carefully,

This laptop has a very damaged casing. There are multiple areas where the plastic is broken or cracked. Due to this, during shipping some of these areas may be weakened and damaged further. I would assume this was dropped at some point unfortunately.

I opened it up and there are a few screws that are missing… someone before me forgot to put them back. I went ahead and installed a replacement hdd, which I don’t know if it works. When in the diagnostics menu it says OK.

The LCD screen appears to work fine and the slider works as well, however there is one spot on the screen that has formed a dark circle (pictured)

There is no power switch. I would assume when this was opened before I touched it someone forgot to install the power switch casing back. In order to get around this I stuck a flathead screwdriver in the side and manually pushed the blue switch (pictured)

The keyboard tests fine in the diagnostic menu(pictured) but I got a keyboard error when entering the diagnostic menu. I am not sure why this is as the left and right buttons work as well as the track point.

No CD-ROM drive, it appears this one did not have one installed.

So an overview:

Broken casing, missing plastic, broken clips, etc;likely dropped at some point

A few screws missing

Missing power switch casing

Untested replacement hdd installed.

LCD is working , has one spot (pictured)

Keyboard appears to work fine(conflicting error)

Everything else on it is untested.

Please look at the picture of the diagnostic test. Everything appears to be OK as it says but I dont have the ability to test it fully.
