This T60 thinkpad had a smashed screen, which I replaced. The screen it now has is a BOE-Hydis HV150UX1-100 in near-perfect condition with no noticeable yellowing, no blemishes, and good brightness.
The laptop now works perfectly but there are still some cosmetic issues:

• Palmrest is missing the mounting point for the rightmost screw, allowing the it to lift away from the body slightly (pictures of lifting and of empty screw hole). The mounting point for the screw broke off completely. I didn't have an undamaged palmrest to replace it with. Someone with a 3d printer could probably fix this issue.
• Whatever smashed the screen also damaged the bottom case near the front edge (cracked plastic over one speaker grille, see photo)
• One screw under the bottom left corner is badly rusted (photo). Inside the laptop, the structure frame also has corrosion (sorry, no picture). The parts of the main board I could see looked perfectly clean with no damage, but I don't know if the card slot still works or not (don't have a PC card to test).

• the screen assembly was from a T60P and has 3 wires for wifi. (don't have a wifi card that can take advantage of the 3rd wire, but it's 3rd party battery at 100% health
• Lenovo 90 watt power adapter
• Windows XP installed and activated from factory restore disks, with all drivers, utilities, and 3rd party software.
  
• Windows update enabled with Legacy Update, updates applied.
  

Cosmetics: Screen in excellent condition. Unable to fully attach palmrest. Cracks in plastic over speaker grille. One rusted screw (could not replace) and rusting of frame inside.
Functionality:

• Overall system: Installed Windows from optical disk, installed legacy update from USB stick, and downloaded updates over Wifi, all without issue.
• Keyboard: all keys work
  
• Optical drive: boots and reads OK, did not test burning.
  
• USB: works with thumb drive
  
• speakers: work
• Not tested: card slot, modem, headphone/speaker jack, VGA, ethernet.
