Floppy disk emulator, allows you to replace a floppy disk drive with reading from a USB key.
Suitable for devices using 1.44 MB floppy disks and a standard drive, such as: Textile machines (e.g. STOLL, MÜLLER 3, BONAS, STAUBLI JC4/JC5), Musical instruments (YAMAHA, KORG, etc.) and various equipment requiring a 34-pin floppy disk drive.
The device comes with firmware compatible with 1.44 MB floppy disks, 34-pin interface (IBM/PC), DOS/FAT12 format, based on an AT32F415 Cortex-M4 microcontroller.
Before installation, check that your equipment supports these characteristics.
Installation precautions:
Be careful not to reverse the cable when connecting.
The USB key must be formatted as 1.44 MB FAT12 to be recognized correctly by the GOTEK emulator.
For use on AMIGA, it is necessary to replace the original firmware with FlashFloppy firmware.
Allows you to replace a floppy drive meeting these specifications:
34 pin interface, 5V DC power supply
2HD 1.44 MB floppy disks
Formatting parameters: 80 cylinders, 160 tracks, 18 sectors of 512 bytes per track, 500 kbps bit rate and MFM encoding
Features :
32-bit CPU architecture offering high integration and excellent reliability.
Direct connection to floppy drive interface for quick and easy installation.
Uses a standard USB drive as storage media, replacing physical floppy disks.
Compatible with many industrial and electronic equipment initially based on floppy disks (textiles, automatic machines, musical instruments, etc.).
34 pin floppy disk interface + 5V power supply, easy installation.
Using a classic USB key as transfer media.
Management of up to 1000 virtual partitions on the USB key.
Built-in automatic formatting function (see documentation for use).
7-segment display which indicates the selected partition number.
Buttons for incrementing tens, units, hundreds.
