• Side-Mount Active Cooling: The unit is a plastic, color-matched housing (beige or platinum) that clips directly onto the left side of the Apple II case, latching into the ventilation slots. Inside is a 17 CFM "muffin fan" that draws warm air directly out of the computer to prevent overheating, which was common when users packed their systems full of internal expansion cards.

• Power Centralization: It essentially functioned as a desktop power strip. You plugged the System Saver into the wall, left the Apple II's actual power switch permanently in the "On" position, and plugged your peripherals (like a monitor and printer) directly into the outlets on the back of the System Saver.
