Boots to recovery, connects to the internet, passes the check, but then only loads MacOS Mojave recovery and does NOT install the OS after clearing the drive in Disk Utility. It gives a strange "server timeout" message while attempting to install the OS.Having access to diskutil and the security settings disabled, I installed Arch Linux custom t2 kernal and used it as a "steam deck" for a little while, even streamed some of that process on my youtube channel. Since then, I have whiped it and installed Linux Mint for t2 Macs. There is a test-admin account left on it whose password is 1234. Please don't use that password, make a new admin, or reinstall!Other than that motherboard issue, this laptop is in great shape and the battery has lots of life left!
