This is an MDD MaxDigitalData 16TB hard drive, model MD16TBGSA25672DVR, received as a warranty replacement for my original drive.
The replacement arrived essentially unused and was opened only for diagnostic testing prior to sale. Initial CrystalDiskInfo testing showed Good SMART health, 0 power-on hours, 1 power cycle, 0 reallocated sectors, 0 current pending sectors, and 0 uncorrectable sectors.
A full SMART Extended Self-Test was then performed and completed without error. After testing, CrystalDiskInfo continued to report Good health with 0 reallocated sectors, 0 pending sectors, and 0 uncorrectable sectors. The drive now shows approximately 23 power-on hours, accumulated during this diagnostic testing. Before-and-after SMART information and the completed extended-test result are shown in the listing photos.
The drive identifies through SMART as a Toshiba MD08ACA16TR 16TB 7200RPM mechanism beneath the MDD branding. This is disclosed for complete transparency.
