Item Description
The MakerBot Precision ASA is a weather-resistant 3D printing material designed to provide high-performance functional prototypes and end-use parts in demanding outdoor environments. Different from ABS, ASA has a thermoplastic formulation with a high UV resistance, which helps retain gloss, color and mechanical properties when exposed to outdoor elements. This material is ideal for demanding applications in the automotive, power and utilities, agriculture, oil and gas, and mass transit industries. The MakerBot ASA Filament is compatible with SR-30 dissolvable support material.
About ASA
ASA combines the qualities of ABS with the added benefit of UV resistance and additional moisture resistance making it ideal for equipment exposed to sunlight and rain over long periods of time - such as products for the agriculture, transportation, and power and utility industries.
Spool Type
Smart Spool provides valuable information including material type, color, and amount remaining via an RFID chip directly to MakerBot Print, while a desiccant in the spool maintains a low moisture level inside the drawer bay.
Storage Environment
Store in the included vacuum-sealed metalized polyester bag to avoid moisture absorption from air; long-term exposure to humidity can compromise material quality and performance. Make sure the built-in desiccant is in the spool to absorb any moisture exposure during the material loading process.

Returns Returns
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you're not satisfied, you may return your item within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us via messages or the returns link to obtain an RMA number.
Domestic Purchases
- If you wish to return an item, please contact us via messages or the returns link to obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. This ensures proper handling of your return or replacement.
- To qualify for a full refund (less shipping expenses), the item must be in its original new condition, with all packaging, manuals, and paperwork intact and unaltered. Opened items are eligible for return but may be subject to a restocking fee.
- Customers are responsible for the shipping and handling costs incurred in sending the item. If your order included Free Shipping, the shipping expenses we paid on your behalf will be deducted from your refund. If an item is refused, the carrier charges for both ways will be deducted from your refund.
- All returns are subject to inspection. Items must be in brand new condition as described above. If not, the return may be deemed non-refundable or subject to a restocking fee of at least 15%. Missing accessories or signs of wear may result in higher restocking fees. For specific fee details, please contact us via messages.
- Returns must be packed in an outer shipping carton (not just the original product box), with the RMA number clearly marked on the shipping label. Include a copy of your invoice and order number, and insure your return shipment with prepaid shipping. We do not accept COD shipments.
- Certain product categories are not eligible for return due to hygienic or sanitary reasons, as required by manufacturers. Consumable goods or items locked by manufacturers (such as Apple or HP) are not returnable.
Promotional Items
- If you received a free item as part of a “Buy 1, Get 1 Free” promotion, the free item must be returned with your original return request to receive a full refund. If the free item is not returned, its value will be deducted from your refund amount.
