Selling off some of my Makerbot printers, this is a 2X that was converted to a single extruder with a new aluminum carriage and aluminum extruder drive and all metal hot end. Other upgrades include an all aluminum Z-Axis, the plastic platform and Z rods were replaced with a 1/4" 6061 aluminum plate and linear bearings with new 10mm hardened Z-rods, an upgraded cast and machined aluminum build plate with silicone heater and borosilicate glass with PEI build surface on top of it, and an automatic shutdown timer that can be enabled so that when the print completes and the bed lowers it trips a 10 min cooldown timer and then shuts off the printer for unattended printing. On the front panel there is two switches, the left switch is the power switch (the factory rear switch is still there this switch bypasses is so you don't have to reach around back to turn it on), the right switch when flipped down activates the automatic shutdown after starting a print, when returning to the printer later all you have to do is flip the right switch back up to turn the printer back on.
Other upgrades include adjustable leveling feet, the tilt screen adapter and SD card relocation to the side of the display, note that due to the SD card extension cable the printer won't recognize that a card was removed and replaced when powered on, this is just how the extensions work because the display itself doesn't know the card was changed, so a quick power cycle is necessary when changing the card if already powered on. It also has the latest Sailfish firmware version 7.7 installed which supports larger SD cards, tested with up to 16gb cards, and also allows for folders on the card, the stock firmware couldn't use anything above a 2gb SD card and folders weren't allowed to organize your files.
It's fully enclosed and will come with the top hood cover which was modified to have hinges and a handle for ease of filament changes. It will also come with a 4gb SD card, the original power adapter and power cord. Ask any questions you may have, i have a LOT of experience with these printers and own many of them.
For shipping the gantry and bed will be secured by zip ties to prevent movement and damage during shipment.
