The MicroMac Performer is a third-party processor accelerator card designed to upgrade early 68000-based compact Apple Macintosh computers—specifically the Macintosh SE, Macintosh Plus, and Macintosh Classic.

• Processor Upgrade: Upgrades the stock 7.8 MHz 68000 CPU to a 16 MHz Motorola 68030, delivering roughly a 300% increase in CPU performance (making the Macintosh SE roughly equivalent to a Macintosh SE/30 in processing capability).

• FPU Support: Includes a socket for an optional 25 MHz 68882 Math Coprocessor (FPU), which boosts floating-point math processing by up to 800% for spreadsheet and graphics calculations. (FPU not included)

• Installation: On the Macintosh SE, it plugs directly into the internal Processor Direct Slot (PDS) without requiring logic board modifications or clips.

• Software Compatibility: Supports System 6.0.7 through System 7.1 (and System 7.5 with sufficient RAM) using MicroMac's software driver extension.
