The NETGEAR WAC540 is a business-class AC3000 wireless access point designed for offices, retail locations, classrooms, meeting spaces, homelabs, and other environments where a basic consumer router may struggle with multiple connected devices.
Its three simultaneous wireless radios distribute traffic across one 2.4 GHz band and two 5 GHz bands. This makes it a practical choice for networks supporting laptops, phones, tablets, VoIP devices, streaming systems, point-of-sale equipment, and other wireless clients.
