LISTING TITLE:
NEW DELL CT350454 RF013 Magenta High Capacity Toner Seald 3110CN 3115CN ShopWorn
NOTES ON LISTING TITLE:
I add notes like this when the title might not be 100% clear as to its meaning, as a result of 's rule limiting listing titles to 80 "characters" (including spaces, letters, numbers, symbols, etc.).
High Capacitymeans this is "High Capacity" Dell toner cartridge. also has a "pull down menu choice" to refer to a toner cartridge as a "High Yield" type. I don't know that Dell ever uses the term "High Yield" rather than "High Capacity" for its products, but since uses the phrase "High Yield", I'm following their example by choosing "High Yield" as one of the options offers to a seller when creating a toner or ink listing.
Sealed: I had to spell "Sealed" (with respect to the sealed-in-bag toner you'll find inside its sealed box) as "Seald" because the length limits imposed by for listing titles meant that I could not fully "spell out" the word "Sealed" in this listing's title.
ShopWorn: There are 2 reasons the title says "ShopWorn". Some toner resellers, in my own personal experience on , will buy anything they feel they can sell as long as it is listed as "New", then after the fact demand that the sale be cancelled if the toner doesn't meet a set of standards they provide after buying -- which if they'd only bothered to read the listing and look at the photos before buying, they'd have known a particular toner I was selling (by no means all of them!) wouldn't meet their "test". They want toners to be essentially "retail shelf ready" with no wear and tear, writings, etc. on the box, so they can ask the higest possible price when reselling.
The one I'm selling here certainly isn't as "perfect" in appearance as they'd want it to be, even though it's fine for an "end user" who isn't planning on reselling it (and is protected by my own and 's returns policies). By using the word "ShopWorn" in the listing title, I'm basically telling them in advance "Save both of us time and hassle by not buying this one."
The more general reasons for calling this "ShopWorn" follow:
This is a new in the original sealed box genuine Dell toner. The photos show that there is assorted shelf wear, but nothing that should have resulted in damage to the contents of the box due tp the way Dell, like HP has always done in my experience, uses "end caps" to "float" toner cartridges like this one right in the very center of the sealed retail box here, to make any damage from physical impacts on the box less likely. See details in next paragraph.
The photos will show that the box has a "punch-in" area on one side panel, but it's in an area in between the "end caps" meaning the toner inside is still "floated" in the center of the box. Damage like this, confined to that one area, typically happens when a toner is being moved around in storage or during shipping and something like the corner of another box bumps into a previously damaged box hard enough to cause that "punch-in" effect (notice for example that this isn't a circular punch situation).
I inserted a finger tip into the opening to actually touch the toner cartridge in its bag, to verify that the bagged toner showed no sign of physical damage. And I also used a "butter knife" to lift the "flap" of cardboard outward from the "punch-in" area so that I could take close up photos through the opening.
For shipping purposes I will use a piece of cardboard, held in place over that area by shrink wrap, in addition to all the other packing material I will use when shipping this toner in its box, placed inside a larger box. But if when the buyer opens the toner's own box and see the entire bagged toner inside, they are concerned about damage I couldn't detect or show in a photo, the buyer will have 30 days to return this toner, still in its sealed bag, for a refund (including shipping charges, if any) at my expense (please see information in the returns section about how to return something to me).
Please notice how our "No Cherrypicking or Hiding Things" philosophy works in this case. You'll see that I first show a series of photos, some with a small flexible inspection light inserted through that punch-in, to show details about that punch-in condition. Then, after all of those, I show a photo of what the box would look like if "posed" for the camera with the "punch-in" restored to its pre-punch condition as much as possible without using glue, tape, etc. I would also never post a "stock photo" of a perfect (or nearly so) item and then, as many do, add a line about how the actual item a buyer would receive isn't going to look exactly (meaning, usually, "as nice") as the stock photo. The point is that I don't play games with buyers, like manipulating the "punch-in" area and not taking other photos detailing the conditions there; I want them to be sure that they understand in advance what's going on with what they buy.
As noted below I am selling both "sealed" (four examples, including this one) and (with only one example) "open box" Dell toners, all to be listed during late November and early December 2023. This one is being sold separately from the others, as a single toner. If I later decide to combine any such single-toner listings into "group lots" the listing will be clear about what such a "group" consists of.
NOTES ON THE LISTING PHOTOS
All the listing photos here were taken by me of this specific boxed toner. You'll note that I shoot and post more photos than many other sellers, and that if, as here, there is some "shelf wear" on the outside of a product's box, I'll shoot close-up photos of such worn areas so that you'll see exactly what condition this product's sealed box is in. You'll see close up photos of the serial number of this product which, based on the other Dell toners I have in "open box" condition, will match the serial number the buyer will find on a label on the sealed-bag toner they'll find inside that box (I can't take that photo without opening the box up enough to allow that to happen). You'll also see close-up photos of how tape was used by Dell to seal this box, and how that tape is unbroken -- and that there isn't a second layer of tape carefully laid over the original layer to conceal any breaks in the tape (I've been fooled by that approach a few times when buying toners and other items to resell -- but not recently!).
WHY I'M SELLING THIS AND OTHER DELL TONERS:
I bought this and several other Dell toners of this kind a while ago either at a closed business's creditor's sale or at the surplus supplies department of a local government agency, because I have a Dell 3110CN printer that this toner is made to be used with, and at that time I needed to print a lot of color prints, so it made sense to buy some toners for it; not so much any more now, as most business presentations I do are made entirely online, sometimes with sending PDFs to attendees in case they want "hard copy".
That printer is getting old (must be well over 10 years old by now) but is usually reliable. It has about a 50% full Yellow toner currently installed in it. I also have a Magenta toner installed in that printer that, like the Yellow toner now installed in it, is about half full. I also have a Black toner new in open box that (unlike another open box Black toner that I will be listing on ) I'm saving for use in that printer (unless the printer dies before it's needed) because the existing Black toner in that printer is nearly used up. The Cyan toner currently installed in that printer is less full than the current Magenta or Yellow colors, and I have no "backup" Cyan toner to use or sell, so odds are good that when the currently installed Cyan toner runs out (or when the printer dies, whichever comes first), I'll stop using that printer. So I'm now selling on the 4 Dell toners I bought for that printer that I never expect to need to use.
RETURNS IN GENERAL:Unlike many toner sellers I don't sell toners with a policy of "returns not allowed". In my over 20 years on I've rarely suspected that a buyer asking to return an itemhad no real good faith reason to return it after actually using it (such as someone using up most or all of a toner or ink cartridge and then claiming it was no good from Day 1).I've had relatively few return requests at all, because I tell buyers as much as I know about what I sell and I don't sell items that I don't have a good faith belief are in working order -- except the very occasional item sold as "for parts or not working", in which case I'll still share all I know about such an item.
Please be sure to save all shipping and packing materials (box, padding, etc.) for the length of the potential return period, in the event a return is to take place. If you have any questions at all about the condition of the materials, however, please contact us first to confirm that we would authorize you to re-use those materials in returning an item to us, since sometimes those materials get chewed up enough during initial delivery that they need to be repaired or replaced before being re-used.
BUYER NO-FAULT RETURNS: 30 calendar day return time, running from date of first attempt at delivery by the chosen shipper to your verified shipping address, if you return these for any or no reason in the same condition as sent, at your expense. However, if you do something that causes one of these to fail in use, e.g., if you spill your drink into one of these and it shorts out (or the printer it's in shorts out) and dies, that is a good example of something that would not qualify as a "BUYER NO-FAULT RETURN".
CLAIMED SELLER FAULT RETURNS: lets you return almost anything within 30 days after receiving it, if what was purchased is not what the listing represented it to be, no matter what limitations a seller may try to put on the reasons for return (and many do). Please see exact details as provided by at the top of this listing. To the extent that allows it, you must use a shipping class and type that costs no more than what we used to ship your item(s) to you.
SHIPPING:
The details about shipping, other than regarding Free Local Pickup (see next section), are provided in spaces set up by near the top of this listing. If you want to buy more than one of the toners together that I'm listing in November 2023, feel free to contact me to modify any listings where I don't provide in advance for a "Best Offer" by a buyer, to permit offers through being made for all then remaining toners (there were 5 but one was bought shortly after I posted it on ). Since shipping more than one of these toners at a time usually costs less, I can charge less to ship as a group.
FREE LOCAL PICKUP (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY):PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT TO PICK THIS UP FROM US AT NO CHARGE TO YOU OTHER THAN YOUR PURCHASE PRICE (plus tax if added by ):
If you want the Free Local Pickup option,it is much better to make that choice during " checkout" beforeyou finish and pay. used to be very strict about that, though apparently it is now possible, if done very soon after purchase, to arrange with the seller for a local pickup, confirmed in writing by messages between buyer and seller so that will be able to review those messages and decide if to approve an after-the-fact decision by the buyer to want the "local pickup" option, rather than the otherwise automatic choice by of shipping if no other choice was made before Checkout was complete, to apply. Since I almost always have my listings set up to have a one business day turnaround time between date of payment and date of shipment (this will sometimes be temporarily seen as 2 or more days, usually because I will be out of town for a few days at some point not long after the listing appears and won't be able to ship as quickly as usual after a purchase), any post-payment wish to change your choice on this topic has to be done quickly so that I don't get a "ding" on my timely shipments record for not shipping as fast as the listing says I would do, that I then have to spend would could be an hour or more on the phone, trying to get to remove.
And one more thing: We're a small outfit that does not have an always-available pickup or customer service department, sopickups must be by appointment only. Please don't show up unannounced and assume you can be helped. We're reasonable people at this end, however, as our response should show, so if we work together, setting up an appointment, possibly including evenings and weekends depending on our mutual schedules at the time of purchase, that works for all should not be difficult. Thanks!
