Description

The SSD CL4-4D256-Q79 is a high-performance internal solid-state drive designed for use in desktop computers and laptops. The M.2 2242 form factor and PCIe 4.0 interface with NVMe support ensure high compatibility, allowing the SSD to be installed in most modern PCs and laptops that have an M.2 slot. The device provides high read/write speeds, is completely silent, lightweight, and has low power consumption.

The CL4 series uses TLC 3D NAND flash memory, which provides high data storage density and a long service life. The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) is 3,000,000 hours, ensuring stable operation and device reliability over a long period.

A new SSD contains no data. When using the SSD as a system drive, an operating system must be installed on it. When installing a new SSD in a PC or laptop, disk initialization may be required. In Windows OS, initialization should be done using the "Disk Management" section.

To ensure the SSD is compatible with your computer or laptop, check in advance whether your motherboard or laptop supports an M.2 2242 NVMe drive. Do not open the packaging until you have verified compatibility.

Please note:

A 256 GB hard drive showing up on your computer as 238.4 GB is normal and does not indicate a reduction in capacity or a quality issue. The main reasons are differences in capacity calculation standards between manufacturers and operating systems, as well as space taken up by firmware and hard drive partitions.

This can be broken down into two points:

Differences in calculation standards

Hard drive manufacturers use the decimal system for calculation, using the following formula:

1 GB = 1000 MB
1 MB = 1000 KB
1 KB = 1000 B

According to this standard, the actual number of bytes for a 256 GB hard drive is:
256 × 1000 × 1000 × 1000 = 256,000,000,000 bytes

However, computer operating systems use the binary system, with the following conversion formulas:

1 GB = 1024 MB
1 MB = 1024 KB
1 KB = 1024 B

When converted according to operating system standards, 256,000,000,000 bytes is approximately equal to 238.4 GB.
