Here is a new ISA dual serial port card made in the 1990s by Byte Runner Technologies. Back when internet access was still a novelty, PCs often used external dial-up modems or ISDN adapters to connect to their service provider. Many PCs had serial ports which did not allow for data transfer rates over 9600 bits per second. The solution was to add a serial port with a 16550 buffered UART, for speeds of up to 460 Kilobytes per second.
Unlike most ISA I/O cards of its era, this 16-bit ISA card, so there is more flexibility in configuring the port.
