Testing performed:
• Server successfully POSTed and booted repeatedly
• Both Intel Xeon E5620 processors detected and operational
• 96GB RAM detected
• Full MemTest86+ pass completed on all 96GB RAM – 0 errors
• Memory test ran approximately 2 hours 56 minutes
• All 16 CPU threads utilized during memory testing
• CPU temperatures remained normal during sustained testing
• All four onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports individually tested for physical network link – all passed
• Both power supplies individually tested and confirmed capable of independently powering the server
• PSU sensors checked through IPMI/ILOM – operational
• All fan modules detected and operating; fan tachometer readings reported normally
• Temperature and hardware sensors checked through IPMI
• System Event Log inspected with no obvious current hardware failure identified
• Mellanox ConnectX adapter detected by Linux and mlx4_core driver successfully loaded
• Microchip SAS controller detected by Linux and pm80xx driver successfully loaded
• Intel 82572EI Ethernet controller detected and e1000e driver successfully loaded
Please note: No hard drives are included. The Mellanox InfiniBand/10GbE external ports and SAS drive I/O were not externally tested due to lack of appropriate connected equipment/drives. These controllers were detected by the operating system and their respective drivers initialized successfully.
Unit may show normal cosmetic wear from previous rack use. Please review all photographs for the exact physical condition and included hardware.
Included: Oracle/Sun ZFS Storage 7120 server as pictured with installed processors, 96GB RAM, expansion cards, dual power supplies, drive fillers shown, and rack rails.
