We were a Z Corporation 3D Printer Dealer since 2001, and then 3D Systems acquired Z Corp in 2012. We sold and serviced many of their really fast powder-based printers throughout Florida, and had this spare part in our storage unit as a spare, in case one of our customers went down. It is for either the original ZPrinter 650/850, or the later re-branded ProJet 660/860. The official Description in the ZCorp / 3D Systems price book is ‘PC104 PCB’.This is the custom designed PC board that powers all the magic in the Z Corp (now 3DS) printers. It drives the Fast Axis Gantry back and forth, fires the HP11 print heads in the Print Head Carriage, controls the Build Bin piston, the Vacuum system, the Feeder … everything! It's original Part Number from Z Corp was ‘50016’, later changed to '22-50016’ by 3D Systems. This is a USED part, and was removed from one of our customers during a Service visit. When we were troubleshooting some issue for a customer, Z Corp (or later 3DS) would often send us several parts to replace all at once, so there was a better guarantee of resolving the issue. However, we wouldn’t always know which part actually corrected the problem. If we KNEW a particular part was bad or intermittent, we would discard it. This part was never discarded, hence it’s highly likely that it’s a good part. This particular board was installed in a Z850, used for only a few days, and then replaced by another board. It turns out the problem was due to something unrelated to this board, so this board was hardly used at all. You’ll see there is ZERO evidence of any residual powder on the surface of the PC board, or in any nooks and crannies. This is another critical item to have in your collection of spare parts, to minimize downtime should yours fail. Our Reseller cost for this part back in 2015 was $1,098, and the Retail price then was $1,639 (brand new). If you were to order this part now from 3D Systems in 2024, the Retail price has increased over 30% to $2,130. Since it is an ALMOST NEW part (but still used), we are selling it for $1,050 (over a 50% discount) which will save you $1,080 over the price from 3DS.(Note 1 ~ This is a STATIC SENSITIVE component, so it will arrive in a static sensitive, mylar bag, and will be packed properly for shipment).
