Polymaker ASA Filament 1.75mm Black 1KG, UV & Weather Resistant
Price: US $37.33
Polymaker ASA is a 1.75mm 3D printer filament developed for makers and professionals who need durable printed parts for outdoor and functional applications. ASA, or Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate, offers mechanical and thermal properties similar to ABS while providing enhanced resistance to UV exposure and changing weather conditions. This combination makes ASA a type of material for projects that need the strength and heat resistance associated with ABS, but are intended to spend more time outdoors. From automotive accessories and outdoor fixtures to garden projects, brackets, housings, replacement parts, and functional prototypes, Polymaker ASA is designed for real-world applications where durability matters. Its UV and weather resistance make it particularly suitable for parts exposed to sunlight and outdoor environments, while its Vicat softening temperature of approximately 100°C provides the thermal performance needed for many functional applications. Consistent printing starts with consistent filament. Polymaker ASA is manufactured with careful diameter control using CCD line sensor technology. Dimensional inspection shows 70% of the filament within ±0.01mm, 97% within ±0.02mm, 99% within ±0.03mm, and 99.9% within ±0.04mm, helping support stable extrusion and consistent printing performance throughout the spool. Each spool is carefully wound and dried before being vacuum sealed with desiccant to help protect the filament from moisture and reduce the risk of tangling during storage and printing. For recommended starting settings, print Polymaker ASA at approximately 250°C nozzle temperature and 90°C bed temperature, with a print speed around 50mm/s. A PEI sheet with ABS slurry can be used as the build surface. Because ASA performs best in a stable thermal environment, an enclosed 3D printer is recommended, particularly when printing larger parts, to help maintain a warm environment around the model and reduce warping. Actual settings may vary depending on the printer, model geometry, print size, and printing environment. Polymaker ASA filament is available in a range of colors for both functional and creative applications. The filament is supplied on a recycled cardboard spool, and the cardboard spool and box are designed to reduce the use of plastic packaging and can be recycled where accepted by local recycling programs. 【UV & Weather Resistant】: Polymaker ASA 3D printer filament combines the properties of ABS with added weather resistance. UV-resistant and less prone to environmental stress cracking, it’s suitable for outdoor applications like RC planes and car accessories.
【High Heat Resistance & Mechanical Properties】: Polymaker ASA filament can withstand temperatures up to 100˚C (212°F) and offers high toughness and impact resistance, making it suitable for functional applications. It shares the same properties as ABS 3D printer filament.
【Strong & Durable】: Polymaker ASA 3D printer filament combines strength, rigidity and reliable layer adhesion for real-world applications. Suitable for functional prototypes, mechanical parts, brackets, housings, replacement parts, tools and other projects that require durable performance.
【Printing Settings】: Nozzle Temperature: 250˚C; Bed Temperature: 90˚C; Speed: 50mm/s. (Adjust as needed per your 3D printer; refer to standard ABS filament settings). For large parts, use an enclosed printer to prevent warping.
