Up for sale is an exclusive Microangelo keyboard from Scion Corporation, manufactured circa 1980.From what limited info is archived online, the Scion Microangelo keyboard was released alongside software created for the Microangelo S100 bus graphics card, one of the first high-resolution graphics cards ever made. The keyboard is in near-mint condition with almost no cosmetic imperfections, save for a light scratch in the housing and slight chipping in two keycaps; see photos. There is little to no yellowing of neither the case nor the keycaps.I have identified the switches as first generation Keytronic "Butterfly" foam and foil linear capacitive switches. They feel and sound to be in great condition, and all keys have a consistent feel. Cutouts in the back of the housing combined with the keyboard's robust construction results in a pronounced and full sound while typing. Hobbyists have been able to convert keyboards using these switches for use on modern systems over USB, and information for performing the conversion is available freely online. This keyboard will make for an excellent project board should one wish to do so.The item features a dense, well-built plastic housing and gorgeous, "mint green" doubleshot ABS keycaps with deep green and white modifiers. The lettering is sharp and due to doubleshot ABS' nature, they will never fade nor ware off with use. I have yet to find a color combination similar to these - they are truly one of a kind. The item will be shipped promptly on purchase and within suitable packaging to ensure no damage during transport.Don't miss out on this opportunity for a one of a kind centerpiece for your collection!
