It has a USB connector on the end of a very generous 7ft cord and the included software is says that it is compatible with Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 / ME. The mouse will also function on a modern Windows 10 system as basic mouse drivers are automatically installed when plugging in the USB connector allowing the functionality of the 3 main buttons, scroll wheel and mouse movement. Basic functionality has been tested and is working; the mouse feels smooth in the windows desktop and the ball provided a satisfying tactile response not present in the optical mice of today.
