Offered here is a factory‑sealed PFS: Workmates software suite for the Apple IIc/IIe — an untouched ProDOS‑era productivity bundle from the early days of personal computing. This box has never been opened, the shrinkwrap is fully intact, and the retail presentation is exactly as it appeared on store shelves in the mid‑1980s.
PFS: Workmates was the all‑in‑one productivity package for Apple II users, combining several of Software Publishing Corporation’s most important titles into a single boxed suite:
PFS: Write (with integrated spelling checker)
PFS: File
PFS: Report
PFS: Plan
This sealed set represents a complete snapshot of Apple II office software during the ProDOS transition — a time when home users, schools, and small businesses were first adopting personal computers for real‑world tasks. Most surviving copies of Workmates are opened, incomplete, or heavily worn. Fully sealed examples are extremely rare, especially in clean condition with crisp edges and original retail gloss.
This is a museum‑worthy piece for any Apple II collector, retro computing archivist, or enthusiast of early productivity software. Displays beautifully and preserves a genuine slice of 1980s computing history.
