Shareware Gold II Golden Room Series Vol 2 No 1 VTG DOS CD-ROM PC Software Rare
Scarce vintage Shareware Gold II – The Golden Room Series, Volume 2 Number 1 CD-ROM, an early DOS-era software compilation from the formative years of commercial CD-ROM publishing.
Shareware Gold II compiled a large assortment of shareware and public-distribution PC programs onto a single CD-ROM at a time when obtaining software commonly involved floppy disks, computer bulletin board systems (BBS), mail-order services and physical shareware libraries.
Period documentation identifies Shareware Gold II as a commercial CD-ROM release available by the early 1990s. Contemporary descriptions indicate that the collection included shareware from well-known software developers of the period, including ButtonWare, Magee Enterprises, Medlin Accounting, Quicksoft, Mustang, Formalsoft, PKWARE and Vern Buerg.
