For sale is a Sony VAIO laptop from the Flip 14 series with model number SVF14N13CXB. It has a pristine 14" IPS LCD screen with 1920x1080 resolution and is fully touch-compatible for conversion into a tablet - the main gimmick of the "Flip" product line. The item has mild wear and tear/cosmetic damage from regular use including some scuff marks around the bezel/frame, and one slightly bent corner on the front right side of the laptop (see pictures). The screen backlight also has a noticeable pattern toward the bottom of the screen, but it still looks good, works fine, and is fully functional. There is an issue with the device motherboard where the left-side USB 3.0 port does not function, which seems to be a common failure point for these machines. As to be expected with a Sony product, the onboard stereo speaker system is actually pretty decent despite the small form factor of the machine.Internally, both the primary and motherboard CMOS batteries have been replaced as recently as January of this year (2026). The laptop has a 500GB hard drive included running Windows 11 Pro version 24H2 with its most recent updates as of this listing. The CPU is an Intel Core i5-4200U, and it is running off a single stick of DDR3 RAM with 8GB capacity. It has Intel integrated graphics with 1GB of VRAM. All drivers have been installed correctly, with no issues or alerts regarding missing or non-functional devices. Also included is an official Sony OEM charger with its original cable. As for software (see the screenshot of desktop shortcuts), installed on the laptop are several useful applications such as a complete suite of Microsoft Office 2007, fully accessible without the need of a subscription. It has Chrome and Firefox browsers pre-installed with UBlock Origin for blocking ads/tracking, VLC media player, and system utilities like HardwareInfo64 and more. Windows 11 Pro is genuine and activated. In the Documents folder, we've included copies of several of the driver installation files, the official user guide from Sony, and some test documents to confirm functionality, which we're also including these files copied onto an included 8GB USB flash drive. We also installed OCR as the system font out of preference, but this can be changed however you want in the System Settings. This a solid laptop if you just need something for convenient web browsing and office work, but it can absolutely be used as a drawing tablet if you really want. The backlit keyboard is particularly useful and handy when it comes to browsing in a dark or otherwise dimly lit environment. It has been tested thoroughly, and has been set up to work for you fresh and ready out of the box. We'll gladly take any questions, and try to provide help as needed. Thanks for looking!
