Item Specifications BrandTP-Link ModelDeco X3600 – read off the label on the underside of the units Speed ClassAX3600 About The Model NameTP-Link sold this same hardware under three names through different retailers: Deco X68, Deco W7200 and Deco X3600. They are the same system. Your units are labelled X3600. If you cross shop this against a Deco X68 listing, you are looking at the same product. Lot Quantity3 units, sold together as one lot. You are buying all three. BandsTRI-BAND. Two 5 GHz radios plus one 2.4 GHz radio: 1802 Mbps + 1201 Mbps + 574 Mbps. This is not a dual-band system – the second 5 GHz radio is what carries the mesh backhaul, and it is the main reason this set outperforms cheaper dual-band mesh kits. Wi-Fi StandardWi-Fi 6 [802.11ax] Ethernet Per Unit2 x Gigabit, WAN/LAN auto sensing. Six Gigabit ports across the lot. There is no 2.5 Gigabit port on this model and there is no USB port. CoverageTP-Link claims up to 7,000 sq ft for a three unit set. That is the manufacturer's figure, measured in ideal conditions. ColorWhite body with a gloss black top cap. Photographed from above these look black, which is how they get mislisted. The body is white. ConditionUsed – Good TestingNot tested. We have not powered these units on, so we cannot tell you that the mesh forms, that all six Ethernet ports link, or that the radios work. They are being sold on cosmetic condition plus our 30 day return policy. Please factor that into what you pay. Before DispatchAll three units will be factory reset and removed from the previous owner's TP-Link account before they ship, so you can claim them on your own account. What Is Included3 x Deco X3600 units and 3 x power adapters, one per unit. What Is Not IncludedNo retail boxes, no Ethernet cable and no printed documentation. A new retail three pack included one Ethernet cable for the modem to main unit run, so please have a patch cable ready. Setup RequirementsSetup is done through the TP-Link Deco mobile app and requires a free TP-Link ID account. This model has no full local web admin page. If you prefer a router you can configure entirely offline through a browser, this is not that product. How The Mesh WorksOne unit plugs into your modem or gateway by Ethernet and becomes the main unit; the other two are satellites placed around the house. The units are identical hardware and the role is assigned in software, so any of the three can be the main unit. There is no special unit you can be missing. Access Point ModeSupported. If your internet provider gives you a gateway you cannot bypass, these can run as access points behind it instead of routing themselves. Advanced SettingsTP-Link keeps this line simple on purpose. There is no manual channel selection, no channel width control and no band splitting, so you cannot give 2.4 GHz smart home gear its own separate network name. If you run a large IoT setup and rely on a dedicated 2.4 GHz SSID, look at a different system. HomeShieldThe basic HomeShield features are free. HomeShield Pro is a paid TP-Link subscription and it does not transfer with used hardware. Nothing in this sale includes a subscription. FirmwareThe most recent firmware TP-Link published for this model is v1.2.5, dated August 2024. Firmware is specific to the hardware revision printed on each unit's label, so check TP-Link's support site for your version before updating. A Note On TP-Link And US RulesIn March 2026 the FCC added foreign produced consumer routers, from most major brands and not only TP-Link, to its Covered List. That rule applies to new equipment authorizations going forward. The FCC has stated it does not prohibit the import, sale or use of existing device models it previously authorized, and that consumers can keep using routers they already lawfully acquired. This system was authorized long before that rule. The FCC has separately allowed firmware and security updates for existing devices to continue through January 2029. We mention it so you can decide for yourself. Item Number70462 Shipping & Returns ShippingFree Shipping Return Policy30 Days Free Return
