Apple Computers retail hanging store display sign made of aluminum and thick translucent plexiglass. This is from the 1998-2001 era when Apple did not yet have the massive global footprint of corporate "Apple Stores" we know today, instead these were made forstores in a network of Authorized Resellers, Apple Centers, and dedicated boutique sections inside big-box retailers. The green light color corresponds with their "lime" and "sage" colors used with Macintosh G3 "fruit" towers, iMacs, and iBooks.
No brand name was found on it, Apple corporate did not make these signs in-house, they contracted out their commercial retail point-of-purchase signage to high-end commercial marketing display manufacturers. While Apple kept the exact vendor lists tight, the heavy-duty acrylic, screen-printing, and aluminum edge-lit housings from that era were predominantly produced by large American commercial sign conglomerates like Fallon Luminous Products or outsourced to specialized plastic fabrication firms in California near Cupertino. Every piece of materials and typography had to be strictly approved by Steve Jobs' corporate design team to maintain brand consistency.They made a few variations of these signs but this one is my favorite - green with Apple logo and "Think different." slogan. Measures 15 inches across, in excellent condition and lamp light is working, the plexiglass does NOT have alot of scratches like you often see with these (metal chain will be padded for shipping). The green light is bright and shines through the display nicely, no cracks and the metal top is mostly clean but with a few stray marks (see photo).
