The Nokia N800 Internet tablet is a wireless touchscreen Internet tablet PC from Nokia.It was the FIRST original smartphone type Internet connected tablet device along with theNokia 770 tablet!This N800 is provided with factory original accessories and retail box.
The N800 was originally announced at the Las Vegas CES 2007 Summit in January 2007. This tablet PC allows the user to browse the Internet and communicate using Wi-Fi networks or paired with a mobile phone via Bluetooth. VoIP voice and video calling is supported. The N800 was developed as the successor to the Nokia 770 tablet. It includes a still and video camera, FM and Internet radio, Web browser, RSS news reader, image viewer and Media players for audio and video files including MP3, AVI, MPG and MKV.
The N800 uses the Nokia Maemo Linux distro with a standard Linux kernel. It supports many standard Linux applications including a standard BASH terminal app with all the standard Linux command line utilities such as SSH, etc. This tablet includes a special boot menu to allow booting from the SD card. It also includes anupdated Busybox software with ALL the available optional Linux command line utilities such as SSH, etc!A very large base of standard Linux user application packages is available for installation.
