WhenI taught computer classes in the 1970’s and 1980’s, I had many examples ofcomputer technology displayed in my classroom. This was one of the moreinteresting integrated circuit chips that I had on display and a type you don't see often. It is a white ceramicchip that measures a little over 1.25” x 1.25” with gold pins. It is in a PGA(Pin Grid Array) integrated circuit package. It is marked on top with “AMI 7642KP – 1845 9891 – C2226 KOREA”. The date code is “7642”which would indicate the 42ndweek of 1976 (October 11 - 17). It is in good originalcondition as shown in the photos but the writing is a bit hard to read.
