This precision gauge was used to check the alignment or registration of holes in IBM punched cards. A card would slide beneath the retaining tabs so its punched holes could be compared with the gauge markings.

An interesting piece of early computing and data-processing history, ideal for an IBM collection, vintage computer display, office décor or technology museum collection.
