Vintage IDE removable hard drive mobile rack (5.25-inch bay frame + removable tray) with a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8 40GB IDE drive installed in the tray. An unusual design: instead of a plain IDE edge connector, the tray and frame mate through a 50-pin Amphenol / Centronics-style (RJ21-type) connector, so the signal runs IDE → 50-pin → IDE to the drive.

• Frame: fits a standard 5.25-inch (CD-ROM) bay; 40-pin IDE input and 4-pin Molex DC input on the rear; rear cooling fan; front key lock and two status LEDs
• Tray: ribbed aluminium top, fold-out handle, internal IDE ribbon and power lead to the 50-pin connector
• Drive: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8, 40GB, ATA/133, 3.5-inch, dated October 2003 (model on the label, photo 3)

Included: frame, tray and the installed drive. Not included: key, mounting screws.

Condition: Used. Came out of a working environment; last known to be fully functional. Not tested since removal, so the drive is sold with no guarantee; contents not preserved.
