Up for sale is a classic piece of mid-90s PC gaming history: an original Matrox Mystique PCI Graphics Card, model MGA-MYST/4N.
Unlike the more common 2MB starter versions of this card, this unit comes fully equipped from the factory with 4MB of high-speed SGRAM (powered by four onboard Samsung Electronics chips). This makes it highly desirable for building or restoring an authentic late-90s retro gaming rig running MS-DOS, Windows 95, or Windows 98. Matrox cards from this era are legendary for having some of the crispest, cleanest 2D text outputs alongside snappy performance in early 3D accelerated titles.
Key Card Details:
• Chipset: Matrox MGA 64-bit Graphics Engine (IS-MGA-1064SG-D).
• Memory: Factory upgraded 4MB SGRAM.
• Firmware/Markings: Stamped 644-00 REV A, COPYRIGHT 1996. Rear model label reads exactly: MGA-MYST/4N.
• Includes an onboard upgrade slot connection if you ever want to attach a daughterboard hardware module.
Condition & Testing Details:
• Visual Condition: Excellent physical condition. The green board is remarkably clean, the gold PCI edge fingers show very minimal wear, and the bracket looks bright and free of oxidation.
• Functional Condition: Untested. Because I do not have a functional vintage Pentium-era motherboard with open legacy PCI slots to benchmark it, this video card is sold strictly AS-IS / for parts, retro PC rebuilds, or collection purposes.
📦 Shipping & Packaging:
• Premium Protection: Graphics cards have highly sensitive surface components. This card will be safely tucked into an anti-static bag, cushioned thoroughly with bubble wrap layers, and shipped inside a thick cardboard shipping box.
• Carrier: Dispatched quickly and securely via UPS with full tracking details instantly uploaded.
