Check your setup
Your computer needs a 3.5-inch drive bay, an available SATA data port and a SATA power connector. This full-size drive does not fit a typical laptop drive bay. For external use, choose a powered 3.5-inch SATA USB enclosure or dock, sold separately.
SMR is suited to general storage and backups; sustained heavy-write workloads and demanding RAID rebuilds are better served by a drive designed for those uses. Initialize with GPT on a compatible modern operating system to access the full capacity.
Included with your order
1 × WD Blue WD40EZAZ 4TB HDD in original factory-sealed packaging. Cables, mounting screws, adapters and enclosures are not included unless expressly stated. Usable formatted capacity is lower than the advertised 4TB.
