This is original conference swag for Apple's 2003 Worldwide Developers Conference. Journey back to the days when Steve Jobs held the crowds enthralled, and Apple wasn't embarrassed by the irreverent Stump the Experts event. This was well before Apple was wildly popular and WWDC sold out within minutes. Only about 3000 developers attended the 2003 conference, so you can surmise that 20 years later, these bags are rare commodities indeed. And this one is brand new, never used.I've listed a whole collection of WWDC convention gifts, but this one is the prize. This is not merely a collector's display piece, it is a very good laptop bag. One of my fellow developers has used hers for years. At first, it didn't really raise eyebrows. But now, carrying a 2003 bag at WWDC is a status symbol. People remark about it; I saw it happen on multiple occasions the last time we were there together. Apple developers were a small and committed group in 2003, most of them having weathered the near death of the company (and the demise of their careers). People are notice things from that era, especially since most Apple developers today have only known the company as fabulously successful.
They also notice that all they got for attending the modern conference was a crummy jacket, and she got a really nice bag.
