The white adapter connects to the FireWire 400 port on PowerPC G3/G4/G5 Macs or to Apple FireWire power adapters when used with Intel Macs, or when used with iPods, iPhones or iPads. An analogue audio cable connects to the audio source and the line-in connection on this iFire adapter to enable the use of the Apple Pro Speakers. One Griffin Firewire cable, and one Griffin line-in audio cable will be included per purchase. This adapter is rare from 2004 and has not been manufactured in many years. It is important to note that the FireWire 400 port on certain Intel Macs will not power this iFire adapter, and will require the use of a FireWire power adapter from a 1st, 2nd or 3rd Generation iPod.
